By now, we all know that the global pandemic through COVID-19 has been a tough time for everyone around the world and has been difficult to make progress towards. But, there are also various pandemics that happen around the world, specifically because of natural disasters. However, a new initiative known as The Pandemic Fund explores a different way to make progress towards this pressing issue in today’s time!
The Pandemic Fund is an international initiative which focuses on resolving issues regarding health, natural disasters, disaster prevention and equality for all people around the world, regardless of where they are and the conditions of their country.
Currently, one of the initiatives being worked towards by The Pandemic Fund is a new kind of mpox discovered in Rwanda, Africa. Mpox is usually spread from an animal to a human, derived from monkeypox and can affect quality of life and other health related risks. By collaborating with the WHO-Africa Joint Mpox Continental Preparedness and Response Plan, The Pandemic Fund has contributed more than $24,000,000 U.S. dollars to Rwanda to take action towards these health concerns.
The Pandemic Fund is contributing to provide accessible health-care for multiple countries around the world and looks forward to helping the world become a safer, healthier and equality-filled place where all have access to basic necessities such as disaster prevention rules and access to affordable health care.
