Trip week in middle school is an exciting time for most of the students. While 6th grade went to Pench, 7th grade went to Goa, 8th grade got to explore the western ghats near Coorg. Set against the breathtaking Western Ghats, the experience unfolded as a journey into nature, adventure and community. The days began with refreshing immersion in the rainforest environment, including a trek through lush landscapes leading to spectacular ridge-top views. Participants explored the importance of the region’s unique ecosystem and deepened their connection to the natural world.
The program continued with hands-on agricultural learning, planting vegetable seedlings and engaging in practical sessions on composting, sustainable soil care and regenerative farming.
Creativity and outdoor excitement played a major role as well, with artistic clay modelling, energising adventure activities and challenging obstacle courses that sparked teamwork and enthusiasm. The experience extended into meaningful cultural moments through interaction with local communities, sharing stories and gaining insight into traditional knowledge.
As the sun set, the atmosphere transformed into something truly magical. A crackling bonfire brought everyone together, creating warmth, laughter and unforgettable memories. The night sky became the final canvas, inviting peaceful star gazing and quiet reflection beneath a dome of glittering constellations.
This powerful blend of nature, learning and celebration created a journey filled with inspiration and connection, leaving every participant with a renewed appreciation for the wonders of the environment and the strength of community.
